Welcome! This site is my first attempt at creating a webpage. If you visit this site frequently you will see it expand and change as I learn more about how to utilize this technology in my classroom. My purpose in creating this site is to provide a place for students to go to find additional information as it pertains to the mathematics curriculum.
In math class we are
currently working on a geometry unit from the Connected Mathematics Project
entitled
Stretching and Shrinking.
Students are learning about the characteristics of similar figures, how
proportions can be used to find the value of a missing side of similar
figures, how a scale factor applies to the corresponding sides of
mathematically similar figures.
I have hyperlinked sites that I think provide helpful and important information for both students and parents.
